[JUSTIFY]all sites have rules, just like all sites have a setting, and almost all sites have a plot. don't you want to know what those are before you decide to jump on the bandwagon? believe us, we want you to become apart of our family here at hhnn, but we don't want you to be lost. if you're new to the site, we encourage you to take a look at this board before you start an application and finish a character. it helps to be caught up on things like this before you completely join a site!

ANNOUNCEMENTS •
whenever an admin has something we need to let known, we'll post it here. updates, activity checks, "of the moments" voting- it'll all take place here. usually you won't have to check this board in general, because when we post something, we'll usally make it an announcements on all boards- but hey, it still helps to check every now and then.

so you're joining, huh? before you jump into the action, you've gotta register. no, not make an account- actually register your character. grab one of our apps, and make your character. don't worry, we're not going anywhere, and there's no rush to finish your application - so take your time, and make the best application you can.[/justify]

[justify]ACCEPTED CHARACTERS •
when you've finished your characters, and an admin has decided that they're quality enough, we'll move your application here. they're all stored, in alphabetical order. however, if you're looking into modifying your application, we're afraid we can't just let you do that. all the threads are locked, and making threads in this board is forbidden. however, if you really need to fix one of them, just ask one of our admins, and we'll try and help you out.[/justify]

[justify]CLAIMS •
another important board belonging to the applying part of our site is this one. after you've been accepted, this is the place we'll direct you to. if you ignore this step of registration, then chances are, your play by will be taken by someone else. if that happens, unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it- this part is your responsibility. we aren't filling out any claims for anyone. it's all up to you. not only is the face claim important, but things like our contact claim, our housing list, our job list, ect. basically everything in this board is crucial.

WANTED •
[JUSTIFY]dead or alive. if you need a certain character, plot, or just someone to complete something you have in mind? go ahead and put up a request here. there's no special form or anything. all you need to do is put what you need, why you need it, and any other specifics on the character. happy hunting!

P-A-R-T-WHY? •

CELL PHONES •
[JUSTIFY]these days, who doesn't have a cell phone? everyone does it. children, teenagers, adults. even moms, dads, grandpas, grandmas- everyone texts! it's easy to do, it's fun, and it's probably one of the more popular way with connecting with your friends. texting isn't the only thing a cell phone can do, though. call your phones and talk for hours, or download your music and listen for hours! whatever you do, a cell phone, it seems, can do anything and everything. who doesn't have one?[/JUSTIFY]

INSTANT MESSAGING •
[JUSTIFY]over the years, instant messaging has gotten more and more popular than it was back in the days. maybe it's because email has gone out of style, maybe facebook has just taught more people about the wonders it does. either way, instant messaging is one of the more popular ways of contacting your friends, not to mention, it's easy! everyone does it, so why don't you go ahead and try it? there's nothing to worry about- it's better than being anti-social, right?[/JUSTIFY]

TWITTER •
[JUSTIFY]twitter- everyone knows what it is, and chances are, most people have one. celebrities, actors, teenagers, adults, moms, dads- people even make twitters for their pets! it's definitely a popular website, and in only a couple of years, it's become one of the most popular thing out there. telling everyone what you're up to or what you're doing is easier now. some people call it stalking, but to some, it's just sharing what's up. the point? stalking- made easy.[/JUSTIFY]

TUMBLR •
[JUSTIFY]everyone needs some blog time, right? everyone has a bad day, and everyone just needs to rant about something that happened that you're just... well, upset about. it happens- it happens to everyone, and tumblr is just the place to let those rants out. not just for ranting and letting out your anger out, though- it's good for interacting, for posting pictures, or for sharing the good things that happened. tumblr is really good for everything- just keep it appropriate.

GOSSIP GIRL •
[JUSTIFY]it's gossip girl- everyone knows who she is. she knows who you are, she knows what you do, and she knows everything about you- naughty and nice. it doesn't matter how secretive you are about it- you're not safe with gossip girl around. the most deepest, darkest, protected secret isn't safe forever. if you're lucky enough, she'll leave you alone. however, that isn't likely. every couple days, she'll post a blog, and harlen will turn into gossip town again. just because a town is small, it doesn't insure it's quiet.

WEST PARIS STREET •
_{[JUSTIFY] this street contains the richest housing in harlen. the houses are big enough to hear yourself echo in when you call out to somebody. old and victorian, only the wealthiest live here.}

EAST FALLS LANE •
_{[JUSTIFY] these are the larger houses given to the more wealthy and upper middle class families. while they're not mansions, they're big enough to be considered the wealthy community.}

GRAY'S FERRY AVENUE •
_{[JUSTIFY] this is one of the longest running streets in harlen that contains about half of the housing. this is the street on which most people would live.}

MARSING PARK •
_{[JUSTIFY]this is the only housing "community" in harlen - if you can call it that. mobile homes, trailers, and cheap houses are found in this neighborhood. lower middle class take up the houses while the lower class occupy the trailers and mobile homes.}

STUDENT HOUSING •
_{[JUSTIFY]here is where all of the housing for the students of harlen university is. housing includes separate boy and girl dorms, one-room apartments, and two-room apartments. no housing is co-ed. it's all gender separated.}[/justify]

WALMART •
_{[JUSTIFY]who doesn't not know about walmart? most people have been to this place once in their life, and even if those rich snobs don't like admitting it, this is the place where you're found most often to buy your groceries. being in such a small town means not having many choices as to where you do your shopping for necessities like, well, food.}

THE REEL THEATER •
_{[JUSTIFY]the reel theater is where most people do their movie watching. it's popular- and old- one screen movie theater. what does that mean? it only has one screen, one auditorium, and one movie playing per viewing. in harlen, what more can you expect? no ones complaining though- the admission is cheaper than regular cinemas.}

SUNRISE CAFE •
_{[JUSTIFY]the most popular restaurant in town. it was founded in harlen in 1930 and still makes the best, grandma-style food in south dakota. whether you're coming for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or maybe just for coffee, you can bet hat your stomach will be satisfied here.}

THE ZONE •
_{[JUSTIFY]the zone is a local youth hangout, doubling as a common place for the town's christian youth group's meetings. the zone is also the one place in town where adults aren't really allowed. employees working at the zone cannot be older than twenty two, which means no one above twenty two is allowed in. this place doesn't let just anyone one to twenty two in, though. there's a minimum age limit, just like the maximum age limit. the ages allowed inside range from thirteen to twenty two- no preteens or adults allowed.}

THE DOCK •
_{[JUSTIFY]the dock really isn't even a dock. it's a pond- a large pond, just on the outskirts of harlen. it's a popular hang out, and you can often find teenagers scattered all around the shore of it. it's not called the dock because it's a pond though- it really does have a dock. it's a long one, stretching to the middle of the pond, which gives the pond it's name! tons of teens come here on a regular basis- just don't get caught past curfew. cops are extremely strict about that.}

SUNFLOWER FIELDS •
_{[JUSTIFY]harlen is pretty famous for it's scenery, so this is definitely a big tourist attraction- when someone decides that harlen is famous enough to visit it. this giant field is full of sunflowers. it's a huge ocean of just sunflowers! it's ongoing and seems to never end, but it does. no matter, though, because it's one of the comforting places in harlen. you have to drive a ways to get there, but when you get there, it's an amazing site. unlike the dock, it isn't a very popular place to just hang out and drink alcohol, but when you need a peaceful, relaxing, and calming area... this is definitely the place to be. rumor is it's a hot spot for hooking up, too.}

HARLEN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT •
_{[JUSTIFY]going somewhere far? not feeling like driving? just wanna fly? the harlen international airport, to be honest, isn't that large at all, but that doesn't mean the flights don't go as far as somewhere like las vegas or mexico- or, if they're that adventurous, farther.}

STATILLA'S SKATE SHOP •
_{[JUSTIFY] not only is this little store a skate shop, but it is also known for its amazing tattoo's and piercings. oh and not to mention all the top brands in skater clothing.}

NEON MOON •
_{[JUSTIFY]being the only club in town makes this one of the busiest places to hang out. friday night enjoy live entertainment from local bands, or just go to drink. eighteen to get in, twenty-one to drink}

AVENUE MALL •
_{[JUSTIFY]it's not very big, and it's lacking a lot of stores, but when you're bored with nothing to do, the mall is the perfect place to go.}

HARLEN MEDICAL CENTER •
_{[JUSTIFY]or HMC, the best place to go when you're sick, or have a broken limb.}

STARBUCKS •
_{[JUSTIFY]starbucks- even small towns like harlen has this awesome coffee shop. not only coffee, but cookies, bread, even sometimes candy. so come inside, take a break, and relax with a gourmet coffee in your hand.}

THE PARK •
_{[JUSTIFY]most small towns have lame, small parks, and harlen is no exception. just like other places, this park is pretty small. there's a small playgroud, a little pond, and the rest is grassy hills, circled by a giant cement path. nothing too special, to be honest.}
